it's not easy being green...

thrifted sweater top: Old Navy
mint skinny jeans: Urban Outfitters

Like I mentioned a post ago, I am not too thrilled with my outfits lately, or else I would be updating more!! I don't know what is going on with me, I am usually so into this. I am probably just busy. Above is one I was proud of. My horoscope said to wear color, so I obliged and went with the color-blocking phenomenon. What do you think of this style? It was pretty huge the past couple of seasons, and though it may be going out of style lately, I still think it is a great way to put a color or two on display.

If you are going to color-block, try to use solid colors (otherwise you defeat the purpose!). Here I wore mint skinny jeans with a sleeveless sweater top. The idea of a sleeveless sweater is genius. You can feel cool and warm at the same time, depending upon which one you want to feel. If it's too hot, you're sleeveless, if it's too cold, you already have a sweater and can just put a jacket on.

You can't particularly see it in this picture, but also I love the way this sweater almost has an art deco feel around the collar. My mom recently acquired an art deco moth (yes, moth) necklace, and she said she would order me one too. Art deco is such a cool look! I would love to collect more art deco pieces. By the time the Great Gatsby is in theaters, I would like to have a complete art deco outfit :) .

Here is my sweet kitty! He is so pretty, I thought you would want to see him again. Regality personified (catified).

Finally, my thoughts on the Boston Marathon. It's just so sad, and I feel helpless that people killing other people for no reason will ever end. Hug your children! Make them feel loved! If you feel them slipping away or becoming isolated, help them, or get them help! So the chance that they will grow up and do this sort of thing is reduced. The more these mass killings happen, the more I think love is the key to violence prevention.
