Short post today, I didn't prepare a Wednesday/Baton Rouge topic so I guess you guys will have to do without! Above is a completely thrifted outfit. Some of the items you may remember from my previous post, so I won't bore you with my 'getting nice clothes for cheap' enthusiasm.
I wasn't too sure about this outfit; I am not certain the skirt fits me like I want it to (and I always hesitate to wear red tights to work, but they are just so darn cute I couldn't resist). Usually I change once or twice in the morning because I just don't know if an outfit looks right, but lately I have been trying to go with my instincts, and that is what I did here. I think the end result turned out ok, and the colors look really nice together. The shirt I love, it has a scoop neck and I know it will go with lots of different clothes. The boots are hand-me-downs from Mom :) . Not sure where I got the scarf, either Mom or Forever 21. Pretty soon I will be calling it Forever 31 because I am getting OLD.
Although I didn't prepare a BR post, above are some kids playing Quidditch on the Parade Grounds (so I sort of did). Yes, those poles are supposed to be brooms. Ha! They could have used actual brooms. At work I am responsible for preparing surveys for publications (such as the Princeton Review and its ilk) and just today I had to revise a list of registered student organizations here at LSU. To my surprise the LSU Quidditch Club exists! Then, after work, I go outside and the same Quidditch Club appears before my eyes. Magic. I bet if I ever try to look for proof that this club exists again, I won't find it, because Magic. Good thing I included a picture here.
I must let you know that I am not a big Harry Potter fan in the least, but this is cute. I should start a Secret Garden club. There wouldn't be any members but me because it's a 'secret' garden club (and no one is as obsessed with that book as I was). Except I just told all of you. Whoops.
Secret Garden. I have fond memories of that book and movie!
